No flowers yet on your Morning Glories? This idea might help.

Well, I tried growing Morning Glory flowers from seeds this year and everything seemed to be going very well -- plenty of vines growing up and along each trestle as I expanded what I had first installed, but well into the summer that was all I had to show for my efforts -- lots of healty vines but not a single flower... I tried extra water, packaged fertilizer, Miracle Gro, but nothing seems to help. Later I noticed one or two small flowers almost underneath the vines and it occurred to me that the vine might be LIGHT SENSITIVE. I remembered seeing something on the internet that some blooming flowers don't sense the season is getting shorter because all they see is constant 'daylight...' And yes, there was an outdoor light on all the time nearby my plants -- a street lamp, that bathes the vines in light all evening and night... When I blocked it from shining on the Morning Glories guess what -- they soon started to bloom all over. So if you don't have flowers either, check your plants for excess light!
